The Meg

However, the project encountered turbulent waters and languished in development limbo for years. Eventually, the rights found their way to Warner Bros. Pictures, where the project was resuscitated and given the green light in 2013. Director Jon Turteltaub and a talented cast came aboard by September 2014. Filming locations spanned across New Zealand and Sanya, China, culminating in January 2017.
