In Spider-Man 2 (2004), Doctor Octopus’ tentacles are stated to be immune to heat and magnetism. They do not have an immunity to electricity and, in fact, the two times that Doctor Octopus is knocked out is because his tentacles got hit with electricity. So in in this film, he realistically could not hold Electro to administer the cure without Electro shocking him and knocking him out.
Spider Man – No Way Home 2021 Movie Review
Going back to Peter Parker (Tom Holland)’s life-changing moment in “Far From Home” (2019), “No Way Home” shows us why Peter’s secret matters. Not only for him but also for his friends and loved ones. Peter approaches Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) to bring things back to the way they were.
But when the sorcerer uses his powers to make the world forget about Spider-Man’s identity, Peter gets more than he bargained for. Technically, this isn’t SpiderMan’s first foray into the multiverse. We’ve seen this before, with great results in “Into the SpiderVerse” (2018). However, no leaks or revelations can derail the launch of “No Way Home”. Spider-Man’s third movie in the MCU isn’t afraid to stray from the visually spectacular action sequences to develop emotional beats.
This happens even in big movies, and director Jon Watts uses them to focus on heavier or lighter themes depending on the situation. Even if it comes at the expense of the movie’s runtime, it works for the most part. While some parts of No Way Home may be overtime welcome, they will generally be well received. That’s where the credit goes to the cast gathers, both familiar and new to this universe.
Alfred Molina and Willem Dafoe return to solidify why Otto Octavius and Norman Osborn are considered some of the most sincere yet terrifying villains, not just in the Spider-Man movies but in the entire superhero genre. hero. The bold and ambitious script also inherits Max Dillon / Electro by Jamie Foxx. But Tom Holland’s Peter Parker faces his biggest and darkest challenges in this film, and the actor has embraced it completely.
Holland simultaneously elevates the rest of the cast while still being able to stand out on his own. While it’s easy to follow the movie in isolation, knowing the previous SpiderMan movies only enriches this wide-ranging experience. “No Way Home” is arguably the most beloved Spider-Man movie of all time. Your friendly neighborhood Avenger celebration solidifies the weblinger as the most beloved Marvel superhero.
